How to Run a Book Club
Scholastic Book Clubs are exclusively school-based clubs that offer teachers and parents an easy way to purchase the best children's books and interactive learning products at low prices. - Ask students to write their name on the order form right away. This will help them keep track of it and ensure that the name isn't missing when the order is handed in to you.
- Review the flyer with your class. You might find that more students will participate if you take the time to look over the flyer with them and encourage them to discuss the titles that interest them. Share recommendations, look for favourite authors and genres, or search for reading levels online!
- Make sure to set a deadline for returning order forms. Ask students to write the deadline on their flyers and keep the date on the blackboard or classroom calendar.
- Collect the order forms and money. Transfer the order onto the classroom order form within the glossy-paged section of your catalogue.
